Joining TGB Lawyers in 2020, Joel Niles initially focused on conveyancing and property law, before joining our family law team in August 2021.
Joel found his passion in family law, and it is now his chosen area of practice, working broadly with the whole family law team, but especially closely with colleague Alexandra Svenson, to help assist and advise our clients.
A broad range of experiences including working as a Clerk for a Barrister in Adelaide, volunteering at a local community legal centre and working in legal and non-legal spheres in Australia and overseas has given Joel a range of skills and the ability to relate to people from all walks of life.
Joel has a genuine wish to see his clients emerge from their family law matter in the best possible position to succeed in the future they see for themselves and their family. He knows that every client is different, and he strives to provide excellent, cost-effective service to each and every one.
Joel has built close relationships with trusted professionals that can assist his clients wherever needed, such as real estate agents, mortgage brokers and accountants. In this way, he can offer a holistic service to ensure his clients are well supported as they navigate what can be a very stressful and emotional experience in their lives.
Being born and raised overseas means that Joel can appreciate the myriad issues that immigrant Australians may face when dealing with separation or parenting difficulties. In addition to his knowledge of the law, he also uses his personal experience to provide advice that is tailored to his clients’ particular circumstances.
When asked to describe himself, Joel’s response was that he is warm, patient and committed to his clients.
