Partners, lawyers and staff at Tindall Gask Bentley congratulate managing partner Morry Bailes on his appointment as President of the Law Society of SA.

Mr Bailes’ role was officially confirmed at the Law Society of SA annual general meeting on 28 October, 2013.

Since being admitted to practice in 1987, Mr Bailes has forged a reputation as one of South Australia’s leading lawyers.

Specialising in Criminal law and Association matters, he is principal legal advisor to the Police Association of South Australia and has represented numerous police members at coronial inquests.

Mr Bailes also advises organisations such as the CFS Volunteers Association, Correctional Officers Legal Fund and the South Australian State School Leaders Association.

In his 11 year tenure as Managing Partner at Tindall Gask Bentley, the firm has grown to become the state’s largest plaintiff law practice.

A winner of the Brian Withers Award 2013 for his service to the South Australian legal profession, Mr Bailes holds numerous Law Society committee roles including the Audit and Risk Management Committee, Professional Standards Committee and Chair of the Joint CTP Executive.

He is also a Director at the Law Council of Australia and Lawguard Management Pty Ltd.
