The legal process can be daunting, particularly that of the Family Court. It is for this reason TGB Lawyers’ Alexandra Svenson strives for clear communication with her clients. 

She believes clients take comfort in understanding the complexities of the legal system.  It ensures they are not overwhelmed and understand what is happening in their matter. To aid this she emphasises regular communication with her clients so they are kept up to date.

Alexandra is recognised for her empathetic manner, something that is especially important in family law, as clients are experiencing upheaval in their lives. This aspect of her personality really came to the fore during her time volunteering at the Women’s Legal Service, where she would answer legal questions for clients, many of whom were very distressed when telling their story. Further to her volunteer work was a stint at the UniSA Legal Advice Clinic, which gave her exposure to a large variety of clients across a range of matters, honing her analytical and research skills.

As a family lawyer, Alexandra takes great satisfaction from helping people resolve the issues that are most important to them, such as issues about the care of their children or the property they have worked so hard to obtain. She achieves this with a keen attention to detail, driven focus and diligence to find solutions in the most cost-effective and timely manner possible.
