Joel Niles

Joel completed his legal studies in 2019, before being admitted to practice in 2020. Joel started working for us as a Conveyancing Clerk in February 2020, before he was admitted in December 2020 and commenced his career as a lawyer with us in our Adelaide office.

After an initial foray into conveyancing and property law, Joel chose to focus on family law, and he is now an important and highly valued member of our family law team.

Whilst studying, Joel worked as a Clerk for a Barrister in Adelaide and volunteered at a local community legal centre. He has previously worked in both legal and non-legal spheres in both Australia and overseas. This diverse background has given Joel a range of skills and the ability to relate to people from all walks of life.

Joel has a particular passion for working with clients whose birthplace was somewhere other than Australia. Being born and raised overseas meant that Joel can appreciate the range of issues that immigrant Australians can face when dealing with separation or parenting difficulties.

Joel has a genuine desire to achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients, and see them emerge in the best position to succeed in the future they see for themselves and their family. He has been described as warm, patient and committed – all attributes his clients really appreciate.

Joel’s passion for his clients is only matched by his passion for music, and the zeal with which he follows his favourite sporting teams!
