South Australia’s largest plaintiff law firm Tindall Gask Bentley has opened a full service office in Perth, after securing a partnership with the WA Police Union (WAPU).
South Australia’s largest plaintiff law firm Tindall Gask Bentley has opened a full service office in Perth, after securing a partnership with the WA Police Union (WAPU).
Doors to the firm’s seventh office, but first venture interstate, officially opened on 12 November 2013.
TGB Managing Partner Morry Bailes said the chance to expand into the west was an unprecedented opportunity for the firm.
“We’re delighted to not only be branching out into a new state, but to partner with an organisation as reputable as the WA Police Union.
“We look forward to assisting WAPU’s 5,800 Members and their families with all of their legal issues, not just policing matters.
“Our thanks go to President George Tilbury and the entire WAPU Board for the opportunity, which we hope is the start of a long and fruitful relationship.”
TGB has built a reputation as leaders in police disciplinary and criminal law matters, after working with the Police Association of South Australia for almost 20 years.
“The WA Police Union is extremely excited to enter into a partnership with TGB,” WAPU President George Tilbury said.
“Our goal is to ensure we give our Members the best possible services and hope the partnership with TGB will deliver this.”
The firm will also immediately open to Perth’s general public for matters relating to injury and workers’ compensation, employment law, family and divorce, wills and estates, business and property.
Western Australia is not TGB’s only area set for expansion, with the firm set to open an eighth office in Adelaide’s western suburbs later this year, creating positions for new lawyers and support staff.
“We’re proud to be growing, accessible to clients in more areas and creating job opportunities in the legal industry,” Mr Bailes said.
“We’re adding more lawyers to our family law practice, which is already the largest in South Australia, and our thriving criminal law team.
“While it is exciting times for our firm we’re still focussed on providing a high quality legal service for all legal areas that an individual is likely to need or encounter.”
Established in 1970, Tindall Gask Bentley employs over 100 staff with 50 lawyers.
